Amazon popt terug overal op

Vanaf komend weekend tot met Nieuwjaar flasht platform gigant Amazon overal in Europa op met tijdelijke stenen winkels.

In London openen ze van 16 tot 25 november traditioneel hun Black Friday store.   Elke dag triggeren ze er klanten met ‘Deals of the day’ binnen speelgoed, beauty en electronica.

Maar ook elders in Europa openen ze pop-up stores.   Met hun ‘Lofts for Xmas’ komen ze naast London, ook naar Milaan, Parijs, Berlijn, Amsterdam en Madrid om nog meer klanten naar hun site te lokken.

Home of black friday

Met shoppinghoogdag Black Friday voor de deur, opende Amazon gisteren een tijdelijk initiatief in Soho, London.   Met Home of Black Friday prikkelen ze om een record verkoop te realiseren op Black Friday.

In een huis (Soho Square 13) laat de retailer je er in 5 thema ruimtes kennis maken met 100 deals.  Verder kan je je verwachten aan workshops van bekende YouTubers.  Maar uiteraard kan er ook gekocht worden.  Via de Scan/Buy buttons kan je via de Amazon app alle artikelen meteen bestellen en thuis laten leveren.

A  cool concept, the ‘great skin lab’ uses interactive experiences and personalised skin consultations to uncover the stresses and strains you put your face through 24/7. From what your cleansing routine consists of to how much time you spend outside absorbing those pigment-producing UV rays, there’s no escaping the diagnosis of the digital experience pods.

A nice case on how you are able to tell much more about your brand through pop-up’s than via classic advertising.

Heineken Pop-up City Lounge

Heineken is set to unveil its inaugural interactive Pop-Up City Lounge during the London Design Festival this September.

Following a huge crowdsourcing campaign, starting in 2013, the beer brand commissioned 20 international designers from all over the world to design the perfect lounge bar inside two shipping containers.

The lounge will debut at Tent London during the 2014 London Design Festival this autumn, before embarking on a worldwide tour.

Pop-up Screens Christmas season, Notting Hill

Accessible only through a magic wardrobe, the new venue will host screenings of films including The Muppets Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone, Santa Claus The Movie and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Krug Kreperie, Covent Garden

Reknowned French chef Pierre Koffmann has teamed up with premium champagne Krug to create the Krug Kreperie; gorgeous French chalet-inspired dining pods inside giant champagne crates on the East Piazza. Inside, the rustic wooden pods will be swathed in sheepskins to keep you warm as you raise a glass to Krug and try one of Koffman’s especially designed crepes.

Santa Paws Grotto, Pimlico
